London – The United Kingdom strongly condemned Israel’s plan to annex Gaza, warning that such a move would only worsen the humanitarian crisis and trigger further bloodshed in the region.
The UK Foreign Secretary emphasized that annexing Gaza is not a solution but rather a new threat to regional peace. Britain reiterated its support for the two-state solution as the most viable path to achieve stability in the Middle East.
“Any attempt by Israel to seize Gaza will only prolong the cycle of violence. The international community must push for dialogue and diplomacy, not annexation,” the UK government said in an official statement.
This criticism comes amid escalating tensions between Israel and Palestine. Tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians, mostly women and children, have already become victims of the conflict. International organizations have also warned that annexation would only deepen the suffering of the people in Gaza.
