Enea Bastianini is set to race in the Czech Republic MotoGP after recovering from appendicitis that forced him to skip the German Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Franco Morbidelli will sit out the Brno round as he continues to recover from a clavicle injury sustained during the sprint race in Sachsenring.
The VR46 Racing rider suffered a significant bruise on his left collarbone after losing control of his Ducati in wet conditions and crashing at high speed. Although he was listed for the Brno event, his physical condition hasn’t improved, and he will only be present to support the team while continuing physiotherapy.
Bastianini, on the other hand, said he's feeling much better and is eager to return with KTM Tech3. He expressed frustration over missing the German GP but believes he's now fit to race at Brno.
He’ll be joined by reserve rider Pol Espargaro, who replaces Maverick Vinales after the latter injured his left shoulder during Sachsenring qualifying. Espargaro hopes to contribute positively despite stepping in under unfortunate circumstances.
