President Prabowo Subianto has affirmed Indonesia's readiness to send peacekeeping forces to Gaza once a ceasefire is reached. This was stated during a cabinet meeting and announced by the Head of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Hasan Nasbi, in Central Jakarta on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
Hasan Nasbi explained that many international parties have requested Indonesia's involvement in peace efforts, including by deploying peacekeepers. This mission would be similar to Indonesia's current peacekeeping operations in Lebanon.
In addition to the readiness to send peacekeeping troops, the President has also ordered the delivery of humanitarian aid. Two Hercules aircraft have been prepared for an airdrop operation to deliver food and other essential supplies to Gaza from the air.
