Cygames’ parent company, CyberAgent, reported impressive financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2025. From April to June 2025, the gaming division became the company’s largest profit contributor, with the global version of Umamusume standing out as one of its top performers. The game is now officially recognized as CyberAgent’s third biggest hit, marking a significant milestone in the international market.

According to the official report, CyberAgent’s sales rose by 10.9% compared to the previous year, while operating profit surged 138.3% to approximately 19.6 billion yen (around USD 132 million). In the gaming sector alone, sales climbed 30.4%, net profit increased 46.6%, and operating profit skyrocketed 320%. Umamusume, along with SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL and Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, played a major role in driving this growth.

Before its global launch, Umamusume had already become a sensation in Japan and Asia. From its initial release in February 2021 until May 2024, the game generated over USD 2.4 billion, accounting for 72% of Cygames’ mobile game revenue. With positive reviews on Steam and enthusiastic reception from players worldwide, its momentum in the global market remains strong.

CyberAgent President Susumu Fujita highlighted the strategic value of owning IPs like Shadowverse and Umamusume, as they are not merely licensed titles. Given the current trends, Umamusume is expected to remain one of the company’s primary revenue drivers in the coming years.
