The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has confirmed that the execution of Harvey Moeis’s 20-year prison sentence will be carried out soon. The convict in the tin management corruption case, which caused a Rp300 trillion loss to the state, has received a final and binding verdict.
“The execution will be implemented as soon as possible. Everything is clear and ready,” said AGO Spokesperson Anang Supriatna at the AGO complex, South Jakarta, Tuesday (October 28, 2025).
Anang explained that the AGO is currently awaiting the official written verdict before proceeding with the administrative process. He emphasized that there are no issues, as Harvey remains in custody.
“We’re just waiting for the complete court documents. Since he’s still detained, there’s no problem. The execution is purely administrative and will be handled by the South Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office,” he stated.
Previously, the court sentenced Harvey Moeis to 20 years in prison and ordered him to pay Rp420 billion in compensation. In addition, several assets belonging to Harvey and his wife, Sandra Dewi, including a luxury car, jewelry, and branded handbags, were seized by the state.
Sandra later filed an objection lawsuit requesting the return of her assets but eventually withdrew the complaint. The court accepted the withdrawal and confirmed that Harvey’s verdict can now be executed.
With this decision, the AGO is set to finalize Harvey Moeis’s legal process, ensuring that all procedures are conducted in accordance with Indonesian law.
