Thousands of joint security forces from the Indonesian National Police (Polri), Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI), and Jakarta Provincial Government were deployed to secure the National Farmers’ Day 2025 demonstration held around the Indonesian Parliament Building (DPR/MPR RI) and Arjuna Wijaya Horse Statue, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (September 24, 2025).

Central Jakarta Police Chief, Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro, stated that a total of 8,340 personnel were assigned to maintain security and ensure the protest runs peacefully.

The rally was joined by several groups, including cassava farmers from Lampung, the 65th National Farmers’ Day Action Committee, the People’s Agricultural Struggle Committee (KPPR), the National Coalition for Agrarian Reform, BEM SI Kerakyatan, People’s Alliance to Sue, and various other community organizations.

Security preparations began as early as 6:00 AM. The Police Chief urged demonstrators to remain orderly and avoid disruptive actions such as burning tires, damaging public facilities, or blocking traffic.

“You are welcome to express your opinions, but please do so within the framework of law and order. We are here to ensure everything remains safe and conducive,” Susatyo emphasized.
